We built MedOn to get medicines to you faster — not to sell your data. This policy explains what we collect, why we need it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
MedOn ("we", "us", "our") operates the MedOn mobile application and related services at medon.app. If you have questions about this policy, email us at support@medon.app.
2. Information we collect
We only collect information that helps us run the service. Here's what that typically includes:
- Account details — your mobile number, name, and role (customer or pharmacy partner) when you sign up.
- Location — your delivery address coordinates so we can match you with nearby pharmacies and show live tracking during delivery.
- Prescription images — photos you upload so a pharmacy can prepare your order. These are shared only with the store handling your request.
- Order & payment info — items, prices, order status, and payment confirmation. We do not store your full card or UPI PIN — payments are processed by our payment partner (Cashfree).
- Device & app data — push notification token (so we can alert you about orders), basic device type, and app version for troubleshooting.
- Pharmacy partner data — store name, address, UPI ID for payouts, and online/offline status.
3. How we use your information
We use your data to:
- Place and fulfil medicine delivery orders
- Connect customers with nearby pharmacy partners
- Send order updates and delivery notifications
- Process payments and store partner payouts
- Improve app reliability and fix issues
- Comply with applicable laws
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
4. Who we share information with
We share data only when necessary to deliver the service:
- Pharmacy partners — receive your prescription, delivery location, and contact number for the order they accept.
- Payment processor — Cashfree handles payment transactions securely.
- Cloud & infrastructure providers — hosting, file storage (e.g. prescription uploads), and messaging services that help us run MedOn.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users.
5. Prescription photos
Prescription images are sensitive health-related data. We store them securely and limit access to the pharmacy fulfilling your order and authorised MedOn systems. We retain them only as long as needed for order fulfilment, dispute resolution, and legal compliance — then delete or anonymise them where possible.
6. Data retention
We keep account and order records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for legal, tax, and support purposes. You can request deletion of your account by contacting support@medon.app.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. No system is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.
8. Your choices & rights
You can:
- Update your name and profile in the app
- Turn off push notifications in your device settings
- Deny location access (though delivery and store matching won't work without it)
- Request access to or deletion of your data by emailing support@medon.app
9. Children's privacy
MedOn is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of MedOn after changes means you accept the updated policy.
